1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Scribeo ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service. We may update these terms at any time, and your continued use constitutes acceptance of any changes.
2. Description of Service
Scribeo is a learning platform that allows users to create structured courses from YouTube playlists and videos, take notes, generate quizzes, and track learning progress. Scribeo is not affiliated with YouTube or Google.
3. User Accounts
You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use this Service.
4. Free and Pro Plans
Scribeo offers a free plan with limited features and a Pro subscription with additional features. Free plans are limited to 3 courses. Pro subscriptions are billed monthly or annually and auto-renew until cancelled. You may cancel at any time through the billing portal.
5. 14-Day Pro Trial
New accounts receive a 14-day Pro trial automatically. At the end of the trial, your account reverts to the free plan unless you have subscribed to Pro. No credit card is required for the trial.
6. YouTube Content
Scribeo uses the YouTube API to access publicly available content. You agree to comply with YouTube's Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms) when using Scribeo. Scribeo does not host any video content — all videos are streamed directly from YouTube.
7. Intellectual Property
Notes, flashcards, and other content you create in Scribeo belong to you. Scribeo retains the right to use anonymised, aggregated data to improve the Service. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute the Scribeo platform or its proprietary features.
8. Prohibited Uses
You agree not to use the Service to violate any laws, infringe on intellectual property rights, distribute spam or malware, attempt to reverse-engineer the platform, or interfere with other users' access to the Service.
9. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Scribeo does not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular content will be available. AI-generated content (quizzes, notes, flashcards) may contain errors and should not be relied upon as authoritative.
10. Limitation of Liability
Scribeo's liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service is limited to the amount you paid to Scribeo in the 12 months preceding the claim, or $10 USD, whichever is greater.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes will be resolved through binding arbitration, except where prohibited by law.
